Publication Update: End of a Marathon

Hi folks,

    This is my favorite time of year. 

    Fall is promising to burst out here in the Lands of the Three Rivers. (And I saw a glimmer of hope today that the acorn crop might have potential this year. Keep your fingers crossed!)

    I wanted to give you some quick publication updates on ongoing projects:

• The audiobook of The Last Coon Hunter, Fifth Anniversary Edition, is complete! It was a marathon, and I'd do it all over again. What a rewarding experience to hear your book read by a professional voice actor. Many have said to me the Ryland Creek series would be a movie someday. Not sure about that ever happening, but the audiobook might be the closest thing to that! ACX (the company distributing the audio version) estimates it should be available for purchase within the next 10 business days; I have no idea what the price will be just yet as ACX sets the price.
• First pass of copy editing complete for The Time of the Backroads. My wonderful copy editor, Joyce Mochrie, contacted me this week to say that she completed the first (of two) rounds of copy editing for Backroads. We estimate its completion very soon. Then on to cover design! (Argh!)
• Ryland Creek Quarterly Newsletter. With the above listed (and more) projects, the newsletter will probably be released after 30 September. I estimate it's nearly 75% complete at this juncture, but there are plenty of interesting topics!
