Hi There,

Welcome to my blog about a place called Painted Post located in the beautiful Finger Lakes region in Upstate New York!  In this blog, I'll discuss Painted Post's long and colorful history, legends, forest animals, plants, and trees that can be found here.

Because I'm an author of novels, there will be occasional posts about the publishing process as a lot of folks will approach me at book signings and want to know how to publish their own books.

I hope to make these blog posts both educational and fun, and I welcome helpful and constructive comments to further the discussion.

Here is what I promise:
  • No political topics! (Don't we get enough of that elsewhere?) Yes, sometimes there's a crossover for advocacy for the environment and politics, but I think we can successfully navigate those waters.
  • This blog will be family friendly. Thus civility--no profanity or innuendo--and everyone is welcome!
  • Strive for accuracy on my part, and for any comments, I'd ask the same of you.
    • I want folks to come away with facts they can use or  apply elsewhere. If I get something wrong, let me know, and I'll make changes accordingly.
    • I don't mind comments about personal experiences, stories, or even opinions (say, about a certain brand of camping gear).  So if you do post an opinion, let us know.  For example, "In my opinion. . ."
