Publication Update

Hi  Folks,

      I'm ecstatic to announce the first draft of The Time of the Backroads: A Ryland Creek novel is complete!  My beta readers (Lee, Angie, and Dave--thank you!) are either finished. The first draft came in a little over 96K words. (So, Michelle B and Mattea . . . yeah . . .you pretty much called it.) 
     I expected the final version to be around the 90K-word mark, and it's due to my fabulous copy editor, Joyce Mochrie, in mid-September. So, a lot of nose-to-the-grindstone work to be done before it heads to Joyce.

     Other publication news: I have not heard from my voice actor, Wayne Thompson, on the audiobook version of The Last Coon Hunter, Fifth Anniversary Edition. Per our initial agreement,Wayne has until August 31st. If I haven't heard from him by tonight, I'll send him a quick note tomorrow morning, asking where he's at and if he needs more time.

   But tonight, a slight reward: I am for the woods and places forgotten.
