Hi Folks,

First, thanks for all who have taken the time to give me feedback on, and write formal reviews for, The Forest Ghost. I truly enjoyed writing the story of Uncle Arthur's youth, and I'm very happy that it's meeting or exceeding expectations.

Latest project: The Time of the Back Roads.
This morning, I cracked the first 1K+ words on book six, The Time of the Back Roads: A Ryland Creek novel. Only ~79K words to go! Ha! I'm estimating that Back Roads will be out in the Fall of 2022, depending on when I can get a spot on my fabulous-if overworked copy editor's schedule! I'm happy for Joyce Mochrie, my copy editor, though; she really loves what she does, and it shows!

Public Service Announcement (PSA): The "fall feeding season" for ticks has arrived. While I've had only about half dozen ticks on my clothing (not attached) all year long (when, for example, I've had over two dozen in a single outing), it only takes one infected tick to wreak all kinds of havoc. Here's some good advice from the Center for Disease Control and its recommendations for the prevention of tick bites: https://www.cdc.gov/ticks/avoid/on_people.html   Special note: And don't forget your pets are also susceptible to tick-borne illnesses. Protect your pets, too!

Hope all is well in your neck of the woods.

Very Respectfully,

Joseph Gary Crance
