The results are in! Cover 3 walked away as the clear winner with 54.5% of the vote. Cover 2, in second place, garnered 33.3% of the vote. I was happily surprised by the number of folks who participated in the feedback review as well as the reasons given for why they liked a particular cover. Thank you! As a bit of a compromise, the image of Arthur shown on the back of Cover 2's workup will now be shown as a black-and-white illustration on the internal title page.
In other publishing news: My fabulous copy editor, Joyce Mochrie, turned back The Forest Ghost’s manuscript back to me this weekend. I’m about halfway through the recommended changes, but I'm once again thankful for Joyce’s keen eye catching the little things to polish Ghost for “publication-ready.” Looking ahead, I suspect it will take another 7-10 days to go through the final copy-editing changes to the manuscript, add the front pages, place illustrations, do the typesetting, and listen to the final manuscript audibly one last time before I initiate the publishing process with Lulu, my self-publisher. At this point, though, I suspect Ghost will be available in the late September 2021 timeframe! Again, thanks to all who participated in cover feedback session! Very Respectfully, Joseph Gary Crance
