The Sound of Water

Once the back cover of Book I, The Last Coon Hunter (now on the title page): Nathan Ernst and Sharon Helm.

Several scenes throughout the Ryland Creek saga take place at a certain waterfall on that fictional stream.

These are the real falls that inspired those scenes.

A place where the gushing water is just loud enough to close out the problems of the world, so much so that you can hear yourself think.

Not a bad thing.

P.S. Bella (my bluetick hound) had already scaled the falls, waiting patiently for this old man to catch up.
